Jinhua No.1 High School is a provincial key high school in Zhejiang Province, founded in 1902. The school is located on Guangnan Road, Jindong District, Jinhua City, covering an area of 288,000 square meters, with a total investment of about 230 million yuan.
In 2003, with the approval of the Zhejiang Provincial Education Department (Zhejiang Education Foreign Affairs (2003) No. 133 Document), the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (Project No.: PDE33CA5A20030113O) and the Ontario Ministry of Education of Canada, have approved the overseas high school project jointly established by The Great Lakes College of Toronto of Canada and Jinhua No.1 High School, Zhejiang, abbreviated as Sino-Canadian Class. The Sino-Canadian Class has achieved remarkable results in running schools for 10 years, and has been unanimously recognized by the society and parents. It has become an excellent brand of international cooperation education in Zhejiang Province.
In recent years, more than half of the students have scored 6.5 or higher in IELTS, and some students have scored 8 and 8.5 points. Most of the graduates of the seven “Sino-Canadian Classes” have been admitted to the top 100 universities in the world, of which 59 have been admitted to the University of Toronto, ranked first in Canada (ranked around 20th in the world), 18 have been admitted to the University of Waterloo, ranked second in Canada, 17 have been admitted to Queen’s University, ranked third in Canada, 66 have been admitted to McMaster University in Canada, and some students have been admitted to the University of Washington in the United States, the University of Melbourne in Australia, and the University of Sydney.
